major administrative competitions, text summary occupies a prominent place in
the discipline of French expression techniques in universities and Grandes Ecoles, including the INP-HB,
Yamoussoukro. Unfortunately, its practice causes problems for students. Among
the deficiencies encountered, we can mention the paraphrase that becomes a real
concern for learners and teachers. The main objective of the study is to identify
the linguistic processes used to shift the text to paraphrase. After a test
given to students, five (05) paraphrastic form variations were identified.
These results could contribute to improvement of text summary teaching
